Launching a Battery with Imagination

In 2015, Energizer launched Energizer EcoAdvanced, the world’s first battery made from recycled batteries. FH saw this as more than a product launch, but as a chance to celebrate the power of big thinking in a small package. The Join Our Journey campaign was designed to re-introduce Canadians to Energizer and showcase the company’s commitment to building a greener future powered by kids choosing a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). The integrated national campaign gave Canadian kids a unique opportunity to design a creature of their own that Energizer would bring to life as a custom battery-operated toy, powered by Energizer EcoAdvanced and a child’s imagination.

The campaign had over 40 million media impressions, drove fan acquisition through social media channels, and resulted in sales of the EcoAdvanced battery reaching a 116% increase over last year’s top performer – clearly establishing Energizer as the leader of innovation in the battery category.
